Important note to researchers. You are welcome to use these datasets in your own research but please acknowledge where the data came from originally. I would suggest the following citation:
Wood Terence, 2019. Solomon Islands Election Results Database 1967-2019. Accessed online at: http://solomonselections.org/
Also, please note that my data are not official election results. These can only be found in the Solomon Islands Parliamentary Gazettes. I double checked all data to original sources but am not responsible for any remaining errors.
Results as PDF Files
If you are not very good using Microsoft Excel you may find PDFs the easiest way to make use of the data.
1967 to 2010 Results
In the middle of 2014 I published a short book containing election results for all Solomon Islands general elections (and some by-elections) from 1967 to 2010. You can download this book here.
2014 & 2019 Results
You can download a pdf file of the 2014 election results here you can find a pdf of 2019 results here.
Results as Spreadsheets
You can download a spreadsheet of all general election results (and some by-elections) from 1967-2019 here. The pivot tables in this spreadsheet may not work on all computers, especially Macs. If you want a simpler spreadsheet (also better for moving into other software like Stata) download this spreadsheet.
Interactive Results
You can use the interactive tool below to view the election results. Select an electorate and a year. If you don’t see any data it may be that the electorate you chose did not have an election that year. You have to chose an electorate and a year or the results you see won’t be accurate. (Thank you to Eoghan from Simulating Experience for helping me with this idea.)
